The Tao in Winter and a Peek at Spring

Fellow Taoists and Friends in the Tao

Breathing in the blue light of Wisdom and Gentleness I reflect on the ancient incantation: the Element is Water, the Season is Winter, Time of Death and Conception.  The Organs are the Kidneys, Storehouse of  Ancestral Qi, and the Guardians are Turtle and Deer.
I love these traditions of the Old Ways, shared across our latitude.  Speaking of which, our cousins across the pond are celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend, in memory of when the ancestors of those they are brutalising today helped their ancestors survive the winter.  Let us share thoughts and prayers and good wishes for those standing like a rock in the face of betrayal.  As Plato said, Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle*.

Cosmic Healing is our last workshop of 2016 and I am very much looking forward to sharing the magic.  We still have a few places so jump in now – almost every workshop this year has been full!  Mantak made me Cosmic Healing Senior Teacher more years ago than I can remember (here’s our story continuing) and at the time I was determined to make the Tao my living – and I have, ever since.  Where there’s a will there’s a way, and mine is the Way of the Will!

The first event of 2017 is the next series of 7-Step Tai Chi, starting on 7th February at 7.45pm, so if you like 7’s this is obviously the seventh heaven for you (sign up now?) – or just come on by and learn something new, or develop what you’ve achieved, with new friendships for a New Year – yes, it’s the Rooster, Cock-A-Doodle-Doo!  Although we actually celebrate a few days before on 31st January with a Free Talk on Taoist Shamanic Healing, and a lovely Jade Circle on 2nd February.  The full Four-Day Workshop on Secrets of Shamanic Healing runs Friday thru Monday 17th – 20th February: a popular event being open to all, but also a pre-requisite for Step 5 Candidates, as indeed is the Tai Chi Summer Retreat and Training Camp in the heart of beautiful Lincolnshire in July (not to be confused with Qigong Teacher Training in Portugal in August.)  What an abundance of wonderful practice to fulfil mind, body and spirit!  Get Booked for Summer!

March, packed with Springtime:  Workshops for Men and Women in London and Dublin, in fact so much going on you can see it all here with a click, and I will keep you updated almost weekly!
